Less Hate, More Speech at the Communication and Publicity Seminar held by NASR
The Less Hate, More Speech project was selected by The National Authority for Scientific Research (NASR) to present the results of its communication and promotion efforts during the first period of implementation, at a seminar held on May 25, 2016 in Sibiu.
At the event, the Median Research Centre (MRC) team spoke about the communication strategy they needed to adapt over the course of the project to take advantage of new opportunities that were not in sight at the time of the drafting and submission of the project in January 2014. The MRC team also pointed to the challenges to communicate a research project aimed at the general public, but also at the journalists’ community in Romania. But it also underlined the success it had with innovative promotion techniques for a research project, how affective endorsements and partnerships with media companies were and the great feedback it received at home and overseas.
During the event those present also engaged in talking about the importance of communicating and promoting such projects both in Romania and the donor states (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein) as a significant part along the research activities for the projects financed through the RO14 Program.
